Dear Pat Robertson,
I love your show! Often times, the news is presented to me in a fashion that makes it hard for me to understand what side I should take or how I should interpret it. Your show provides me with that insight I need. After Katrina, I wasn’t sure what to think. Why did God do this to New Orleans? Your show helped me to understand that it was due to the amount of sin down there and not because of increased water temperatures in the Gulf of Mexico due to global climate change.
Another thing about your show is that it makes me feel better about hating people. Now, I know the Bible tells me to love my enemies and eat my vegetables and such, but I hate gays. Gays go against God’s plan. God wants life without end. If we all got Teh Ghey, there would be no reproduction just a lot of AIDS, the plague God sent down here to kill the gays and junkies. So, God hates gays, and as he created us after his own image, we too should hate gays. Jesus doesn’t love’em either.
Now, there is something that is confusing me, and I haven’t heard it mentioned on your show. That is, how should I feel about global climate change? Should I consider it a myth? It would be a lot easier to do so. I think that’s what President Bush wants me to do, and you guys seem to agree a lot. But, what if it isn’t a myth? Doesn’t Jesus want us to leave an earth that is inhabitable for our grandchildren? Aren’t we playing God by destroying the Earth before He can? Wouldn’t allowing the human race to die off be a bit worse than abortion?
Well, I just wanted to let you know how much I like The 700 Club. I’m sorry to hear about your plane and weightlifting and the criticism for your comments about Sharon. Those non-Christians out there love to attack those who are happy and moral. Please maybe do a segment on how we as Christians should feel about global climate change. Is it a reverse 40 days and 40 nights of rain? I don’t know. If you’d like any help with your show, just let me know. I was thinking you should make bracelets that say: “WWPRTMJWD” to stand for “What Would Pat Robertson Tell Me Jesus Would Do?” It would be a helpful reminder that hate (aka “tough love”) is just as important as love. Well, I look forward to hearing from you. Until then, I remain,
Secularly yours,
